چکیده

We generalize the continuous time random walk (CTRW) to include the effect of space dependent jump probabilities. When the mean waiting time diverges we derive a fractional Fokker-Planck equation (FFPE). This equation describes anomalous diffusion in an external force field and close to thermal equilibrium. We discuss the domain of validity of the fractional kinetic equation. For the force free case we compare between the CTRW solution and that of the FFPE.

Pseudo-spectral ‎M‎atrix and Normalized Grunwald Approximation for Numerical Solution of Time Fractional Fokker-Planck Equation

This paper presents a new numerical method to solve time fractional Fokker-Planck equation. The space dimension is discretized to the Gauss-Lobatto points, then we apply pseudo-spectral successive integration matrix for this dimension. This approach shows that with less number of points, we can approximate the solution with more accuracy. The numerical results of the examples are displayed.

Fractional Fokker-Planck equations for subdiffusion with space- and time-dependent forces.

We derive a fractional Fokker-Planck equation for subdiffusion in a general space- and time-dependent force field from power law waiting time continuous time random walks biased by Boltzmann weights. The governing equation is derived from a generalized master equation and is shown to be equivalent to a subordinated stochastic Langevin equation.

1 Dynamics of Annealed Systems under External Fields : CTRW and the Fractional Fokker - Planck Equations

We consider the linear response of a system modelled by continuous-time random walks (CTRW) to an external field pulse of rectangular shape. We calculate the corresponding response function explicitely and show that it exhibits aging, i.e. that it is not translationally invariant in the time-domain. This result differs from that of systems which behave according to fractional Fokker-Planck equa...

A pr 2 01 0 Fractional Fokker - Planck Equations for Subdiffusion with Space - and - Time - Dependent

Over the past few decades there has been an enormous growth in the numbers of papers devoted to experimental and theoretical aspects of anomalous diffusion [1, 2]. The landmark review by Metzler and Klafter in 2000 [1] has been particularly influential, promoting the description of anomalous diffusion within the framework of continuous time random walks (CTRWs) and fractional calculus. There ar...

Anomalous diffusion of inertial, weakly damped particles.

The anomalous (i.e., non-Gaussian) dynamics of particles subject to a deterministic acceleration and a series of "random kicks" is studied. Based on an extension of the concept of continuous time random walks to position-velocity space, a new fractional equation of the Kramers-Fokker-Planck type is derived. The associated collision operator necessarily involves a fractional substantial derivati...
